Back!

Time to dip my toe back into the blog-water.  Okay, so the sensory experience that phrase creates is perhaps good enough evidence why I haven't written in quite some time.

So this website for the Turntable Kitchen is really cool.  They offer a number of interesting and highly impractical services, including mailing you a rare 7" and a recipe along with dried ingredients you might need for the cooking process.  The idea is great, though.  I'm always thinking of new things to try to pair. Mountain Dew with salty snack treats, mixtapes with days of the week, and so on.  Why I've never thought of food and music is beyond me.
What I've done today is created a mix via 8 Tracks and paired it up with a light-ish lunch, utilizing this recipe from serious eats.  This is my first of such adventures, and I urge anyone who wants to cook along with me or just enjoy the mix, if you can.

More to come!
